Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Very good value for money. Well worth the walk from the beach for lunch."
"Nice authentic restaurant full of locals that hang out on a sunny day - just In front and in the market hall. So expect rustic service but good quality food. We had great bomba and croquettes as classics and were also positivly surprised by the large fried sardines and the tuna tartare that came on a bed of sushi rice and avocado. So a good place to hang out after the beach in Bareclonetta and to enjoy the locals and tourists trotting by"
"After going to the beach, I passed by this nice restaurant, big terrace, quiet, comfortable, sunny with light breeze, spacious, very welcoming service. I had always wanted to try monkfish, but they are so huge and I am just one person, and some days maybe the restaurant doesn’t have it. Here they have the monkfish (Rape) Cazuela. It’s a small piece at the tail part. the texture is very good and fresh, the salsa is increíble. they have a big menu, so It’s a much recommended place."
"New review So I went back a few times and since the new staff has been here, the service has improved drastically, the young man and 2 young ladies were fantastic, food and coffee was great. Would recommend Old review Food and drinks are good , so is the atmosphere, but the service is horrible, super slow, took them 15 minutes to bring a menu then another 15 just to come take the order they also seem super unhappy that you're there wanting to order. Save your money, go somewhere nicer"
"We got Tinto de Verano and some Patatas Bravas. It was absolutely delicious and perfect for a chill afternoon. The place is peaceful, the services was fast and efficient and the taste was spectacular. Special thanks to Ryth for being so attentive and friendly."
"After a tough morning walking and steering I came here for a bite to eat and rest. Nice vibes, friendly staff and reasonable prices. I had the squid and beer which was just delightful. Plus it’s just outside the market which from other markets I liked as the prices were more reasonable for local delicacies. My mate got a spread of goodies from the market for a late afternoon snack, my good! Welcome to Barcelona"
"We had the paella de Marisco and it was very good! Highly recommend!"
"Excellent service throughout our visit and Jose (our waiter) despite the lack of communication in English went up and beyond to serve us! The restaurant is placed in the centre of Barceloneta and therefore slightly less touristic with many locals enjoying their time there. We ordered paella x 4 and the enormous size was beyond our expectations! Tuna tartar was nice too and a bigger dish than expected! Crema Catalan was also tasty although slightly different from what I remember. I would definetely consider to return to this place in the future."
